The Jersey Shore Huskies Fast Pitch Travel Program is announcing our partnership and joining The Cage Academy. This enterprise will allow our athletes to continue to strive towards the next level of competition. By joining the Cage Academy, our athletes will have additional resources (specialized coaches, indoor and outdoor facilities) to enhance their skills. In addition, we will continue to strive and provide girls a program that promotes camaraderie, sportsmanship and personal growth through the challenge of competition.

 

The Jersey Shore Huskies Travel Program has been successful since we first started in 2008. In three short years, we had a total of 6 travel teams (2-12u, 2-14u, 16u and 18u). Our tremendous coaching staff at all levels provided a solid foundation for each athlete to excel on the field by winning several tournament championships from USSSA, PONY, ASA and USABL.

Our travel program reached players from Westfield to Jackson and as far down as Toms River. The travel program also shaped athletes in our town of Matawan/Aberdeen and were well prepared playing in high school. In the last few years, 95% of the high school softball athletes played for the Jersey Shore Huskies Travel Program. In 2017 the high school boasted a record of 17-10 and in 2018, the team posted an overall record of 19-7 (10-2, Shore League) with a #21 state ranking and the Public A-Central Division Title.

Our successes is attributed to the Jersey Shore Huskies coaches (past and present) dedicated to provide our young athletes an avenue to be competitive, their inspiration to teach today’s young athletes are commendable and deserve to be recognized. What you do in the community and beyond will always have a positive impact now and in the future.

We also wanted to thank Aj DeGeorge for his vision and leadership establishing a competitive setting to challenge our girls in town and from other towns. The partnership with the Cage Academy will continue this legacy as our first and foremost responsibility is to all the young girl athletes in our program.

On behalf of all the coaches, to all past and present Jersey Shore Huskies Travel Athletes and Families, your dedication and unwavering commitment and passion to be the best you can be is what every coach desire. You came to practice when it was hot or cold. You attended tournaments as far as South Carolina to Connecticut. We thank you for all your hard work and proving that if you set your mind, you can achieve anything. We are all proud of you!!
